About American HomeStay
We provide the students both international and domestic a way to feel truly at home while they are attending school in Southern California. Our students are carefully placed into an environment with an experienced host family who welcomes each student like a member of their own family.
The environment is safe and secure . . . Our goal is to make each and every student happy, safe and contented in a positive home, with good food, pleasant surroundings with warm and friendly people around them every day. All of this and the student’s social skills will be significantly enhanced while they learn first hand the local customs and traditions.
• A private bedroom, bed, linens, desk, study lamp, closet for clothing, personal storage space.
• Two meals, breakfast and dinner, every day of your stay.
• Laundry privileges.
• If you do not have a car, the location of the best possible bus schedule to school and return.
• Help to increase your language skills and knowledge of our culture through conversation, shopping trips, family activities and outings (should you wish to participate).
Application Fee: $200
Monthly Rent: $1100 (every 4 weeks)
*Homestays are not assigned until all fees have ben received. Prices are subject to change and not guaranteed.
Homestay applications should be sent to our office at least 30 days before your scheduled arrival date so that there is sufficient time to assign a host family that meets the criteria as outlined in your application. After we receive your application, we will contact you regarding Placement Fees, our Airport Greeting and Pickup service and any other fees that may relate to your application.
