USA English Language Center

USA English Language Center (USA-ELC) has designed an Intensive English Curriculum to offer international students an opportunity to expand their knowledge in the English language. This comprehensive course can meet student needs at all levels of English proficiency, from beginners to advanced levels. Our USA-ELC serves international students who wish to improve their English skills. The English Language Center can be useful to working professionals and to students preparing for university study or professional programs in the USA.about-img1r

At USA English Language Center you will learn American English, using the most current textbooks, tapes, videos, computer programs and other teaching materials, taught by the most experienced instructors. We want you to get the most out of your stay in San Diego. The USA-ELC curriculum is designed to ensure that you make the quickest possible progress in your studies. We will meet your needs, whatever your level, by encouraging and challenging you to practice your English all the time.

National ACCREDITATION

The USA English Language Center has national accreditation as an Intensive English Language Program by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET). ACCET is officially recognized by the U.S. Department of Education since 1978, ACCET is a reliable authority as to the quality of education or training provided by institutions of higher education and the programs they accredit.

 

SDUIS-USA English Language Center State Approval Status

Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education Approval:

In accordance with the provisions of California Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009, San Diego University of Integrated Studies is approved by the state of California to operate within the auspices of the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (“Bureau”). Approval to operate means that the Bureau has determined and certified that the institution meets the minimum standards for integrity, financial stability, and educational quality, including the offering of bona fide instruction by qualified faculty and the appropriate assessment of students’ achievement prior to, during, and at the end of its programs. This institution had valid approval to operate on June 30, 2007, approval #20412, effective July 1, 2006 to December 31, 2013. The Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education Reform Act became inoperative July 1, 2007 and was largely replaced by the Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009 (AB 48 – Portantino) chaptered on October 11, 2009.

Article 2. Transition Provisions

“94802.(a) An institution that had a valid approval to operate on June 30, 2007, issued by the former Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education pursuant to former Chapter 7 (commencing with Section 94700) of Part 59 of Division 10 of Title 3 of the Education Code, as it read on June 30, 2007, shall maintain that approval under this chapter. For the purposes of this chapter, the approval to operate shall be valid for three calendar years after the expiration date of the approval, as it read on June 30, 2007.”
